Have been working with these guys for about two years…contracted to build an app. Paid over $10,000 and haven’t received anything, will send designs and then ask for more money to complete or add features and then nothing new happens. Now they aren’t answering my phone calls or emails and it has been a month and a half. They kept switching project managers(Barry green, Liam Paul, Ron Watkins, max Milton, Shawn hill, Marcus, Barry, and Adam to name a few) when things would get rough and each new manager would promise and give their word that it would be different but just was a constant repeat of asking for more money with no progress made. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but I don’t want anyone else to get scammed like I have. I would love to have website design engine contact me again and finish the project I’ve paid for, so I can remove this review but until then, buyer beware because you will just lose your money and time with these guys. Will be leaving reviews everywhere and reporting to FTC shortly and hopefully get this shut scam shut down. Best of luck to any of you who read this.

Dealing with Website Design Engine was a nightmarish hell. I have invested all my money, time, energy, and labor for nearly 10 months and for what? Absolutely nothing! I am in the hole over $20K. The finance department is only willing to give me back $4400 so far and they still have not mentioned the other services that I should get a refund for and why is it taking so long? I loaded thousands of products myself because they didn't do their job. I will send further feedback to let you know what happened. I don't know why they don't honor their refunds.

I had hired website design engine to build my website, customizer, order management, and video ads, but they turned out to be scammers. They never completed my project and kept lying to me. They built an initial website to deceive me that they were working on it. After that, they started selling me more services like purchasing dedicated hosting. Once I paid for that, they started blackmailing me to purchase TLS security, otherwise, they would not finish my project. So, I was forced to purchase the TLS security plugin. They were supposed to complete my project within 6 weeks but after waiting for 6 months, I contacted another company. The manager of this company (Benjamin Price) texted me and warned me that if I started working with someone else, they would not complete my project, and I would lose my money. I think they hacked my system or phone because they knew I was talking to someone else. Every month they changed my project manager, and I had to explain my project from scratch again. They were just wasting my time so that I couldn't dispute my transaction since you can't file a dispute after 6 months. It's been 15 months now, and they never completed my project nor refunded me. They never gave me ownership of the website or hosting which I paid for. Now they have stopped answering my emails, texts, or phone calls. They have lied about their office address. I think they are outside the USA, and they probably tell you fake names too. Here are the names of the scammers: Benjamin Price, Shawn Hill, Sean Martin, Rob Garner, Adam, Max Milton, and Darren Samuel. I am writing this review to save others from making the same mistake as me. Please stay away from these scammers.

WARNING BEWARE! This company failed to follow through. i have been trying over a year to get my password reset and now they tell me sorry your year is up so now if you pay more and renew we will give you the password. Beware they have far more negative reviews than you see. They will call and negotiate for you to take down the bad reviews. This is a total upsell and waste of your time and money.

Absolute nightmare. I believe it is an elaborate scam whereby they upsell you services and then when it comes to a refund they only partially refund and don’t even keep their promises with regard to that! It’s taken me almost a year to get some of my refund. I estimate I am $5k USD aim the hole. I would tell everyone to stay away!!!

Wish I could give negative stars. Wasted thousands of dollars with this shady company. They are a bunch of crooks. They would call me on the phone and urgently request that I pay hundreds of dollars for god knows what so my website wouldn't shut down. They overcharged me for a server I didn't need. Terrible at answering and returning calls. And now the website I paid good money for has suddenly disappeared.

Stay away !!!! I am ashamed to say that I was drawn in by their sales pitch and like others paid them significant amounts of money for nothing. After months of tolerating appalling designs and using incorrect information I decided to ask for my money back as they offered a money back guarantee. I reported them to Visa and managed to obtain a small amount back, and the company then agreed a payment plan. However, to date they have not kept their promise telling me that their credit card provider is h fee review until the end of the year, and asked me
For my banking information which I am certainly not providing them. There is no question they are an upselling scam operation and a business that does not honor or their promises.

I feel angry I was sucked into believing they could provide me a good service and would advise people to stay away from them! There is no doubt in my mind that they are a sophisticated scam operation.

I contacted Website Design Engine with five pages of a website that had already been professionally made by a different company. I was happy with my existing website but needed it to have features that the previous developers did not do. I spoke to Website Design Engine and they gave me a fair price after thoroughly asking me questions about what my website entailed. They explained they did not have a payment plan option but that I could pay $2,100 and then later the additional $1,000. I was told they could not use my existing site as it was considered plagiarism. They began making a new site and it was riddled with grammatical and spelling errors but most importantly there a complete misunderstanding about the purpose of my business. I had to comb through line by line and make edits on their “plagiarism free content” for which I paid $1,000. That fee was in addition to the $3,100. I was also asked to pay $1,000 for a platform upgrade and $1,500 for six months of SEO. I was asked to pay $2,000 for security and $670 for recaptcha. They also purchased a plug in for my site that they’re claiming is non-refundable for $2,499. This is a large sum of money. The trick is I literally only knew about the original $3,100 upfront. They’ll request zoom calls and phone calls to provide you with more updates during which they’ll ask for more money. There are several names that claim to be from different departments. I’m inclined to believe the positive (Google) reviews are fake. Compare reviews on Better Business Bureau.
